Our Wedding

The couple first met during their undergrad at North Park University in 2016. Both new to Chicago, Caleb was an incoming freshman and Olivia was a transfer student. On such a small campus, it was inevitable that their paths would cross on the bridge where they exchanged smiles, a moment that neither of them knew would linger for years to come. They shared mutual friends, quiet glances, and a gentle curiosity about one another, but the timing was never quite right.

Fast forward to the summer of 2020, Caleb had returned to Chicago and Olivia and her roommates had an extra room in their Albany Park apartment. The potential of “what if’ that lived quietly between them blossomed into something undeniable. With a little encouragement from their roommates, the couple made it official on July 19, 2020. That summer was filled with slow mornings on their porch, bike rides to Montrose Ledges, and evenings spent stargazing in the park creating moments where their love found space to grow.

Throughout their early twenties, even during the times life pulled them in different directions, Caleb and Olivia always gravitated back to one another. Their time apart made them recognize how rare their connection was and how important it is to cherish it. From then on, they chose each other wholeheartedly. Olivia supported Caleb at every band show and together they traveled to places like New Orleans, Puerto Morales, London and Amsterdam!

While on their trip to Europe celebrating their birthdays, Caleb proposed to Olivia during a private boat cruise through the canals of Amsterdam on May 27, 2025. Caleb and Oliva’s love story of going from “what if?” to “what is!” is a beautiful reminder that the right person will always find their way to you.

A well-maintained and renovated turn of century historical building in Douglas, Michigan. Built in 1890, this three-story Victorian is a registered Historic Landmark. Once the community hospital, is now a chic hotel and restaurant centrally located in Saugatuck's sister city, Douglas.

What is the dress code?

We're asking all guests to dress in semi-formal attire! Long or mid-length dresses are recommended for ladies and men are encouraged to wear a jacket and tie. The average temperature in Saugatuck in September ranges from 75 during the day to 52 at night. The event will be hosted outdoors, so if you anticipate you may get chilly at night, feel free to bring sweaters or wraps!

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

While we would love to include everyone's children, this event is adults-only unless your child was included on your invite.

Are there accommodations near the venue or hotel room blocks?

Please visit the 'Travel' page to find more information about lodging options in the area. We highly suggest booking accommodations near downtown Saugatuck or Douglas!

What's the nearest airport?

The closest airport is Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) - about 45 minutes from the venue.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

We recommend arriving at the venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony garden and find a seat.

Will there be transportation to the Belvedere Estate?

Absolutely! We have arranged for Coastal Tours Shuttle Service to drive guests to and from the wedding venue. The pickup and drop off location is downtown Saugatuck on the far north side of Coghlin Park.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! Free on-site parking is available in the lot directly south of the Belvedere Estate. Cars may be left in the parking lot overnight.
