The couple first met during their undergrad at North Park University in 2016. Both new to Chicago, Caleb was an incoming freshman and Olivia was a transfer student. On such a small campus, it was inevitable that their paths would cross on the bridge where they exchanged smiles, a moment that neither of them knew would linger for years to come. They shared mutual friends, quiet glances, and a gentle curiosity about one another, but the timing was never quite right.

Fast forward to the summer of 2020, Caleb had returned to Chicago and Olivia and her roommates had an extra room in their Albany Park apartment. The potential of “what if’ that lived quietly between them blossomed into something undeniable. With a little encouragement from their roommates, the couple made it official on July 19, 2020. That summer was filled with slow mornings on their porch, bike rides to Montrose Ledges, and evenings spent stargazing in the park creating moments where their love found space to grow.

Throughout their early twenties, even during the times life pulled them in different directions, Caleb and Olivia always gravitated back to one another. Their time apart made them recognize how rare their connection was and how important it is to cherish it. From then on, they chose each other wholeheartedly. Olivia supported Caleb at every band show and together they traveled to places like New Orleans, Puerto Morales, London and Amsterdam!

While on their trip to Europe celebrating their birthdays, Caleb proposed to Olivia during a private boat cruise through the canals of Amsterdam on May 27, 2025. Caleb and Oliva’s love story of going from “what if?” to “what is!” is a beautiful reminder that the right person will always find their way to you.
